The First Annual Livia Stoyke Foundation University of Alberta Design Awards
On Friday, May 2nd, 2003, the first annual Livia Stoyke Foundation U of A design
awards, were presented. Attended by a large crowd of Design Graduates and friends
at the U of A Fine Art Building (FAB Gallery), the first two lucky and accomplished
design graduates Laurel Lui and Caroline Clouquer, received the prestigious
awards of the foundation, one of which was sponsored by Redengine. Caroline
Clouquer was presented with the Best of Show award and Laurel Lui was the recipient
of the Leadership Award.
Among attendance at the awards was Trevor Wiltzen, LSF president, Chris Martin,
LSF director, speaker and awarder, Jatzke, Department Chair; Bonnie, speaker
and former instructor of Livia. Among the awards ceremony, attendees enjoyed
a variety of student design work from the U of A 2003 graduate class.
